Basic Information

Description: Auditioned academic chorus that is also open to community members.

Mission: To provide college and community singers with the opportunity to rehearse, discuss and perform quality choral works of various musical eras and styles.
Emphasis: Larger choral works with LPC Chamber Choir and other Bay Area choruses.
Size: 24 - 40
Concerts/Year: At least two per academic year.
Skills Required : Good vocal production, musicianship, reading skills and the ability to blend and harmonize with other vocal parts.
Auditions: Prepare a short folk or classical solo. Brief interview with director to determine voice type and musical skills.
Dues: $46 per semester
Dress: Men: Tuxedos (college has some to loan)
Women: Choice of two black concert dresses ($60) often available to buy used from previous singers or to sell to others at end of season.
Rehearsals: Tuesday nights. 7:00 pm - 9:50 pm
