| Description: | The Truckee Tahoe Community Chorus of Sierra College was organized in the spring of 2002 and is co-sponsored by Sierra College the Osher Life Long Learning Institute. The Chorus performs two major concert series each year, one in the spring as well as one for the winter holidays. Our concerts are accompanied by either a full piece orchestra or smaller instrumental ensembles and piano and the Chorus strives to deliver exceptional performances of a broad range of vocal music, often with featured soloist and quartets. Members also have the opportunity to perform for the community throughout the year at different functions such as Rotary or Truckee Chamber breakfast meetings, and particularly at Christmas time, by caroling for tree lighting events at venues such as The Lodge at Tahoe Donner and Northstar at Tahoe. We welcome new members with musical backgrounds and vocal talents, who can commit to the rehearsals and disciplines of learning the musical arrangements, chosen by our highly skilled and qualified Directors. |
