| Mission: | To train boys in the choral art with an emphasis on music literacy and the highest artistic standards. Boys will learn life-long skills and go forth into the world as skilled tenors and basses and leaders in their future choirs. |
| Emphasis: | With a strong emphasis on both performance and music literacy (learning to sight-read and understand music theory), SVB performs a wide variety of music for the community including classical, contemporary, folksongs and jazz-influenced pieces. |

| Concerts/Year: | Twice a year: December and June |
| Skills Required : | None for the entry level group |
| Auditions: | Held by appointment: August, January, and May |
| Dues: | Semester tuition (2010-11) $650-$850 |
| Rehearsals: | Once a week rehearsals combined with flexible musicianship classes in small groups. |
