| Description: | The Gryphon Carolers is a vocal ensemble consisting of approximately 30 people. The group was formed in 1975, when composer/ guitarist Ed Johnson and singer-songwriter Carol McComb recruited students from their harmony singing classes at Gryphon Stringed Instruments, establishing the original group. We sing unusual arrangements of up to 7 part harmonies, mostly written by our directors Carol McComb and Ed Johnson, as well as arrangements by some of the chorus members. |

| Concerts/Year: | One public performance in December, usually in the Palo Alto area, and 4 or 5 visits to convalescent and retirement homes all over the Bay Area. |
| Skills Required : | Ability to sight read recommended but not required. |

| Rehearsals: | We practice Sunday evenings 6-8:30 pm beginning the first Sunday in October in the choir room at Christ Episcopal Church, 1040 Border Rd, Los Altos, CA. |
