Description: This is an amateur, community chorus, open to the general public.

Mission: Committed to teaching choral excellence and sharing beautiful music while providing a positive learning atmosphere to build self-esteem, self-discipline, and foster friendships.
Emphasis: All periods from early to modern.
Size: 140
Concerts/Year: 2 self-produced, 1-2 appearances with other groups
Auditions: Yes, to be arranged in September and January. Auditions require singing scales, key and tune matching, sight-reading, clapping rhythm, singing a song. The child is asked to do all of the above and then placed in the appropriate group--Preparatory Singers, Intermediate Choir, Concert Choir, or Chamber Ensemble.
Dues: $350-$500 per 10 month year
Dress: Choir has uniform: blue shirts and black pants with suspenders.
Rehearsals: Tuesday; Wednesday: Concert ; Chamber , 4:00 to 5:30 (Concert); 5:30 to 7:30 (Chamber), Parish Hall, Foothills Congregational Church, 461 Orange Avenue, Los Altos

Related Groups: Cantabile has four different groups. Cantabile is a member of the Baroque Choral Guild.
Comments: Cantabile has four choirs rehearsing in Los Altos and three rehearsing in San Jose. Cantabile has been selected to participate in the Tuscany International Children's Choral Festival in July 2000. They will work with Henry Leck and tour Italy with children's choirs from all over the world.
