Mission: | To promote peace and justice through song; to promote inter-cultural, inter-generational and inter-racial interaction, respect and appreciation. We enjoy making beautiful music. |
Emphasis: | We do all styles of music, including our own arrangements, and original compositions by some of our members. |
Size: | 25-35 |
Concerts/Year: | 1 major concert per year, and 1-2 community performances per month whenever we are invited. |
Auditions: | Yes, in September, January, and May. Auditions require a brief demonstration of an ability to match pitch and voice placement. must be able to repeat short vocal exercises. |
Dues: | Yes, $20 - $30 per month depending on ability to pay. no one is turned away. |
Dress: | Black pants/skirts with black tops or shirts and multicolored stoles. |
Rehearsals: | Thursdays, 7:30-9:30 pm, CHAI House, 814 St. Elizabeth Drive, San Jose |
