Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, special interest chorus open only to University of California, Berkeley students.

Mission: Small group exploring history and performance ( "the colorings ") of vocal jazz.
Emphasis: Traditional and contemporary vocal jazz, mainly a cappella, but also accompanied by a rhythm section.
Size: 8 to 12
Concerts/Year: 8 to 10
Auditions: Yes, held at 51 Cesar Chavez Center at the end of the spring Semester. Candidates sing one prepared piece, some sight-singing, intervals, and rhythm testing.
Dues: $20 per year
Dress: Ranging from casual to semiformal
Rehearsals: Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., 51 Cesar Chavez Center, University of California, Berkeley, Berkeley
