Under the direction of Patrecia Graham, the 35- to 45-member co-ed choir has performed around the country and with the well-known Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. Graham became interested in gospel music while attending a church in Marin, and eventually took a week-long workshop hosted by the Lighthouse Singers of Marin. After moving on to Elim Lutheran Church, she joined a small choir group called Morning Glory. "I was chosen to direct that and felt so blessed to have that position, " said Graham in a 2004 interview. "I kept talking about gospel and asked if they would be interested in that genre of music. Pastor Tim Kellgren said go ahead, so we organized a workshop and had the leader of the Lighthouse group run it. " From that, a core group of gospel-loving singers decided to sing on a regular basis - Wings of Glory was born. "I've done other kinds of music over the years, but I find church music is what draws me the most, " said Graham. "I get the most wonderful fulfillment out of singing or playing music for God. " No experience is necessary to join Wings of Glory and singers of all ages and skill levels are welcome.
