Basic Information
Description: | This is an amateur, community, special interest chorus, open to the general public. Of the over 100 members, typically one-third will register for college credit, two-thirds general public. If asked, only about 10% would really need " college credit. Masterworks Chorale - MUS 60 ABC This is an intermediate to advanced level choir in which each singer will learn and perform challenging choral literature. The class may consist of a combination of the following activities: full group rehearsals, sectionals, lectures, demonstrations, writing, working with guest clinicians, small group singing tests, written assignments, and public performances. Singers will have the opportunity to sing using correct vocal habits; read, write, interpret, and execute basic musical notation; perform choral literature within the classical and world music idioms; and perform independently within a large choral ensemble. " |
