Description: This is an amateur women's chorus, open to the general public. Our members are not paid; however, we consider the level of the group to be extremely high-of professional quality. " "

Mission: To perform music for women's voices at the highest level.
Emphasis: VOCI has sung a variety of the repertoire available for treble voices from early Gregorian chant to 20th century American music. We have sung music from Asia, the Balkans, Europe, etc. We are interested in pushing the envelope of repertoire. We have enjoyed Renaissance motets to Viennese Romantics as well.
Size: 18-24
Concerts/Year: Fall and Spring seasons. Generally 3 performances
Auditions: Yes, held in Fall and Spring (September, late May.) Auditions require sight singing, vocalizing under the direction of the Artistic Director.
Dues: $75 per season
Dress: Black skirt and top, VOCI vests.
Rehearsals: Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Orinda Community Church, , Orinda
