Basic Information

Description: This is a community, professional-level chorus, not open to the general public. The auditions and membership are by recommendation only.
Year Estab: 1995
Mission: To provide advanced choral singing, training, and performance opportunities for advanced choral singers.
Emphasis: Vocal Impact has sung Mozart to Poulenc to vocal jazz, emphasis on works that are good for a chamber ensemble (Missa Brevis, tight choral harmonies, etc.)
Size: 16-20
Concerts/Year: 3 formal concerts; Christmas caroling.
Auditions: Yes, held in Cupertino and the South Bay in January and Fall (August). Those auditioning should arrange with the conductor to sing a solo, then sight reading, and a rehearsal with the ensemble.
Dues: $25 per quarter
Dress: Men: tuxedo; Women: black skirt, colored silk top.
Rehearsals: Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., St. Jude's Episcopal Church, 10920 McClellan Road, Cupertino
