Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, community, special interest chorus, open to the general public. Local folk and folk from all over California are welcome to join the once-a-year workshop and performance.
Year Estab: 1987
Mission: Bring singers and musicians together once a year for a one day workshop in Renaissance and Baroque choral music which is then performed in a public concert in the evening of the same day.
Emphasis: Choral music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
Concerts/Year: one
Auditions: No, annual date is 1st Saturday in November.
Dues: $32 per person.
Dress: For both men and women, light on top, dark on bottom.
Rehearsals: First Saturday of every November , 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; evening concert, 7:00 p.m., First Baptist Church of Grass Valley, 1866 Ridge Road , Grass Valley

Discography: Audio cassettes available of all concert programs from 1989 to present. Professional quality, 90 minute, $12 content of tapes includes Renaissance and Baroque workshop pieces performed in concert and also other vocal and instrumental offerings. Each year performers and audience have the opportunity to order concert cassettes. These are then made to the amount of the order and sent to the people who order them.
