Basic Information

Description: This chorus is an amateur, community, special interest groupopen to the general public. Most members have an affiliation with Stanford (present or as alumni); many are Catholic, but the group is open to all who are interested in singing for a traditional Catholic liturgy.

Mission: Singing of the heritage of the music of the Roman rite for Roman Catholic worship at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Palo Alto.
Emphasis: Gregorian chant and the Latin sacred music of the Renaissance.
Size: 16-24
Concerts/Year: Every Sunday morning, 12 noon at St. Thomas Aquina
Auditions: Yes. Auditions are held anytime by arrangement with the director. Those auditioning should have a moderately good ear.
Dues: No
Dress: street clothes; choir robes occasionally.
Rehearsals: Thursday, 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Braun Music Center, Stanford University, Stanford
