Basic Information

Description: An independent community chorus, offered formally as a course through Sierra College's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute.

Mission: The pure enjoyment of making music together and entertaining audiences in our semi-annual shows.
Emphasis: Eclectic mix of classical, neo-classical compositions, American and foreign folk music, spirituals, Broadway tunes, etc. Also a December concert with seasonal music.
Size: 40-60
Concerts/Year: 12
Auditions: Every new member must pass an audition which will consist of (1) singing scales, (2) demonstrating the ability to match pitch, (3) a simple sight reading exercise, and (4) singing a simple, familiar melody.
Dues: $35 per half-year
Dress: Tuxedo for men; special outfit for women
Rehearsals: Tuesdays, 6:30 pm-9:20 pm, Rm D-2 Music Bldg, Sierra College, Rocklin
