Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, community, recreation, special interest, women's chorus, open to the general public.
Year Estab: 1970
Mission: To teach the American folk art of singing four-part harmony, barbershop style and through performances encourage the universal appreciation of that music.
Emphasis: We do all kinds--no musical accompaniment all barbershop style.
Size: 22
Concerts/Year: No concerts exactly; we do perform for local group
Auditions: Yes. No set time of year. Candidate must know her part, be able to sing with the other sections.
Dues: Varies with regional and international dues.
Dress: When performing or competing we have various sets of wardrobe. We will all be dressed alike.
Rehearsals: Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Church of the Nazarene, 415 Evergreen Lane, Yreka

Comments: Our area covers several towns and some of our people travel 45 miles to get here. Third largest county, least population. Facilities for very large groups are not that great. When the Goldwing motocycle groups or RV clubs come to town, they usually open up the fairgrounds."
