Description: This is an independent, community, all-volunteer chorus.

Mission: The mission of Schola Cantorum is to celebrate the joy of singing with our community: by performing choral music of all styles, including masterpieces and commissioned works; by educating and inspiring our singers and our audiences; and by encouraging community members of all ages to experience, appreciate and participate in choral music activities.
Emphasis: Masterpieces from the choral repertoire, new works by major composers and works from different cultural traditions.

Concerts/Year: 6-Apr
Auditions: Held twice-yearly, July-August, December-January, usually at Stanford University's Braun Music Center. Auditions include vocalizing, sight reading, prepared piece, music theory questions.
Dues: A contribution of $150 per year. Contribution wai
Dress: Men: tuxedos; women: standard formal dress
Rehearsals: Monday, 7:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Los Altos United Methodist Church, Magdalena at Foothill, Los Altos
