Description: This is an amateur, community, recreational, non-profit chorus, open to the general public.

Mission: To enrich our audience; to preserve and promote choral music of the highest quality; to recruit vocal talent and develop musicianship. The San Jose Symphonic Choir provides the choral dimension to San Jose's full compliment of performing arts.
Emphasis: Symphonic choral works with orchestra; classical through modern.

Auditions: Yes, held at the rehearsal hall by appointment in September and January. Auditions require vocalizing, reading, intonation, vocal quality, choral singing. " "
Dues: $150-$175 per year
Dress: Men: black tuxedo; Women: two piece black A-line, sleeveless dress (floor length), with a long sleeved flowing jacket. Pearl 18-inch necklace and button earrings.
Rehearsals: Monday, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1100 Shasta Avenue, San Jose
