Description: This is a community, educational chorus, with enrollment open to the general public through Open University registration.

Mission: To provide choral ensemble experience to San Francisco State University students and well-qualified members of the community.
Emphasis: Our repertoire ranges from a cappella motets to major works with orchestra.

Auditions: Yes, held in San Francisco State's Creative Arts Building at the beginning of each semester (late August/early September and late January/early February.) Auditions require simple vocalizing and musicianship (ear) testing.

Dress: Men: black pants, white shirt, ties; Women: black skirt, white blouse
Rehearsals: Tuesday, 11: 10 a.m. to 12:25 p.m., SFSU Creative Arts Building, Room 221, 1600 Holloway Avenue, San Francisco

Comments: The University Chorus (formerly the Choral Union) has a long tradition of providing the University community with performances of sacred choral masterworks. We have recently expanded our repertoire to include a cappella and secular music. Our December Holiday Concert has become an audience favorite.
