Basic Information

Description: This is a community children's chorus, open to the general public.
Year Estab: 1996
Mission: To provide a musical outlet for children ages 7-12, develop their potential as singers and musicians, and to provide several performances a year for the enjoyment of the general public.
Emphasis: Early American and European folk music, Central and South American, some medieval and Renaissance music.
Size: between 10-20
Concerts/Year: 4-Mar
Auditions: No. there is an informal audition to test for vocal range and voice quality. This audition is held at any time of the year. It requires that the child sing some simple tunes--folk songs, etc. (song of your choice) to assess vocal range and ability to carry a tune.
Dues: $40 per month
Dress: T-shirts with logo, dark pants or skirt
Rehearsals: Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.to 8:00 p.m., First United Lutheran Church, 6555 Geary Boulevard at 30th Avenue, San Francisco
