| Mission: | 1) To perform a wide variety of significant and demanding choral literature; 2) to achieve an uncompromising degree of excellence with a minimum of rehearsals. |
| Emphasis: | The major emphasis is on a cappella works from all of the historical/stylistic periods. We also program some folk song settings and other music of a lighter nature. |

| Auditions: | Yes, at Cal State, East Bay or at conductor's home in Castro Valley. Auditions are held at any time as arranged with the conductor. They include the performance of an art song, sight-reading, tonal memory, and demonstration of a variety of vocal techniques. |
| Dues: | $25 per year |
| Dress: | Women wear matching dresses; men wear tuxedos. |
