Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, community, recreational, special interest men's chorus, open to the general public. Our weekly rehearsals are open to the public, and we welcome all guests. We have Ladies Night, " and "Guest Night " performances. We also have annual family picnics, campouts, etc... "

Year Estab: 1965
Mission: To promote the barbershop harmony style of singing. We are members of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing In America, Inc., one more than 700 chapters in the U.S. and Canada.
Emphasis: We sing popular American songs "a cappella " in the barbershop style. Our society consists of men only. Lady barbershoppers are members of "Sweet Adelines. "
Size: 60 roster members; 40-45 active members
Concerts/Year: Average of 6-8 public performances yearly. We als
Auditions: Auditions are required. A guest must attend a minimum of three rehearsals before he can audition. A potential member must learn a song in our repertoire, and perform it with one of our training " quartets. (He may choose to sing lead, tenor, baritone, or bass.) "
Dues: Depends on various factors.
Dress: Depending on the venue, we have formal costumes (dinner jackets, tux pants) to informal costumes, chapter logo T-shirts, and black dress slacks.
Rehearsals: Thursday (except national holidays), 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Scottish Rite Masonic Temple, 600 Acacia Lane, at Highway 12, Santa Rosa

Related Groups: Quartets are active within our chorus. We have formed a barbershop gospel chorus in past years, and we are attempting to revive it.
