Basic Information

Description: This is a professional girls chorus, open to girls ages 7-14. There are three levels: 1. Training, which is the apprentice level. Singers ages 6-8 learn basic vocal techniques and ensemble singing, while also learning the rudiments of reading and writing music; 2. Allegra is the intermediate level chorus, and the first performing level. Singers 8-10 focus on vocal production, ensemble singing, and musicianship. Singers learn a variety of songs in unison and simple harmony covering various styles, and perform several times each year; 3. Concerta is an educational and performance oriented group for ages 11-14. Singers study choral literature with increasingly complex harmony, learn to sing in a variety of foreign languages, and perform throughout the Peninsula.
