Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, special interest choir, open to the general public.

Mission: Provide liturgical music for principal liturgies at St. Dominic's Roman Catholic Church. We also perform several concerts (usually with orchestra) during the year. Performs 3 to 4 concerts with orhcestra a year. Tours and recordings.
Emphasis: Full spectrum of liturgical music--polyphony, Gregorian chant through contemporary. Countertenors compose part of the alto section to provide the color suitable for much of our repertory.
Size: 8 professional; 24 volunteers. (4 voices per part
Concerts/Year: 3 to 4 (some touring)
Auditions: Yes, by appointment. They are held in the Choir Room at St. Dominic's Church anytime during the year. Auditions require the demonstration of vocal production and range; sight-singing; performance of a prepared piece; demonstration of cooperative personality.
Dues: No
Dress: Choir vestments provided by the church.
