Basic Information

Description: This is a children's chorus, open to the general public. There are four levels. We offer scholarships to encourage singers from all economic strata.

Mission: To provide a quality choral opportunity for children age 6-18.
Emphasis: We sing all styles of music--folk, classical, pop, contemporary, from other countries, songs from musicals, gospel, etc., in unison, SA, 'SSA, and even 4 parts. Our repertoire spans the centuries and the globe.
Size: 200 total
Concerts/Year: Each group performs between 6-10 concerts or event
Auditions: Yes, only for Concert Choir (Level 3) and Chantons (Level 4--teen choir). No audition required for Levels 1 and 2. Auditions are held by appointment from August through mid-September, and again in early January. Those auditioning perform a song of their own choosing, unaccompanied. Then the director does some testing for ear and voice and note reading knowledge.
Dues: $500-$800 per year (depending on level).
Dress: Teal skirt or jumper, and white shirt are rented to the singers. Boys wear a teal tie, white shirt and black pants.
Rehearsals: Each level rehearses one afternoon per week, 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 5:15 p.m., or 5:30 p.m., depending on which group., St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1123 Court Street, San Rafael
