Basic Information

Description: The orchestra is professional, as are the guest conductors. The chorus is made up of singers from all over the Bay Area, and is open to the general public. The audience is the chorus.
Year Estab: 1979
Mission: To present the Annual Messiah Sing every mid-December at The Dance Palace in Point Reyes Station, and children's concerts and formal string orchestra concerts as funding allows
Emphasis: Repertoire ranges from renaissance to Contemporary music for string orchestra, with emphasis on Handel's Messiah at Christmastime.
Concerts/Year: One
Auditions: Auditions only for soloists; no auditions to sing the chorus. The Messiah-Sing is held each mid-December
Dues: General, $12; Seniors, $10 per Messiah Sing
Dress: Casual dress for audience-chorus; formal dress for orchestra and soloists.
