Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur men's chorus, open to the general public.

Year Estab: 1976
Mission: To preserve and encourage the barbershop style harmony in a male chorus and to foster the formation of quartets from the ranks of the chorus.
Emphasis: Songs from the late 19th and early 20th century, and more modern work that can be arranged in barbershop style.
Size: 34 active, 10 inactive, and 1 dual member.
Concerts/Year: 10 to 15
Auditions: Yes. Held on regular meeting nights. We have orientation and auditions, which include video tapes. Auditions require the ability to learn to carry a part without printed music.
Dues: $100 per year
Dress: Varies from formal dress tuxedo to casual, depending on the sing out.
Rehearsals: Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., Burlingame Intermediate School, Quesada near Trousdale Boulevard, Burlingame
