History:

The Dominican (University Winifred Baker) Chorale was formed in the year 2000 by uniting the 42-year-old Winifred Baker Chorale and the 4-year-old Dominican University Chorus under the baton of Dr. Craig Singleton, Head of the Music Department. Winifred Baker served on the music faculty of Dominican for almost 50 years. In 1958, she founded the Winifred Baker Chorale and was its sole conductor until 1998 when she retired and returned to Scotland. Dr. Singleton conducted the Golden Gate Baptist Seminary Chorus before assuming his position at Dominican University.

Name changed to Dominican Chorale, August, 2014 in order to simplify publicity announcements.
