Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, community girls chorus, open to the general public. It meets after school.

Mission: To offer a complete program of choral music education through a variety of learning experiences and performance opportunites.
Emphasis: Variety of all musical styles ranging from classical and folk tunes to contemporary and pop music.
Size: Approximately 120
Concerts/Year: 3
Auditions: Yes, held 2-3 times a year, in June, August, January, at San Ramon Valley High School. Very simple songs (Happy Birthday, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star ) are used to assess vocal range, ability and tone. Experience determines level of choir (see above)
Dues: Preparatory, $35 per month; Intermediate, $40 per
Dress: Uniforms
Rehearsals: Thursday, Preparatory, Intermediate: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Charlotte Wood Middle School, 600 El Capitan Drive, Danville

Discography: We recently distributed cassettes of a concert in Livermore to the participating choir members, as a thank you/pat on the back. This was not available for sale.
