Basic Information

Description: This is an amateur, special interest small choral ensemble, open to the general public.
Year Estab: 1994
Mission: Coro Ciconia is a 12-member, primarily a cappella group specializing in late medieval and early Renaissance repertoire. It rehearses Monday evenings in Berkeley and is always seeking passionate chamber-oriented singers with strong sight-reading skills and a taste for this challenging but rewarding music
Emphasis: All mediaeval polyphony, especially the masses, Machaut (1360) to and including Ockeghem (1450).

Dues: $25-$40 per month
Rehearsals: Monday, 7:00 p.m. to 9:30-10:00 p.m. in Berkeley.
