| Description: | California Redwood Chorale is a volunteer group of about 50 SATB auditioned singers from the Sonoma/Marin area. CRC is a very congenial group and welcoming to new members. |

| Mission: | The mission of California Redwood Chorale is to enjoy ourselves while continually learning how to improve our skills. By doing this, we attract singers with a high level of skills. CRC is also dedicated to traveling. Between 2007 and 2018, the group will have traveled 8 times...to Europe, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the US. |
| Emphasis: | CRC draws from the best of the choral repertoire. We have performed classics such as John Rutter's "Requiem" to standards such as American 20th Century music, to other languages such as Alexander Borodin's "Polovetsian Dances" and Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana" to "Somewhere Over the Rainbow"! We sing both a cappella and accompanied music. |
| Size: | 45 - 50 |
| Concerts/Year: | Usually 2 concerts in the fall (October) and 2 concerts in the spring (late April). However, this can vary depending on our current project. |
| Skills Required : | Singing experience and reading ability. |
| Auditions: | California Redwood Chorale implements an invitational technique we call "Sit in and Sing". We invited interested singers to attend a rehearsal, sing with us, and then decide if they want to audition. Some singers just choose to audition right away. CRC auditions are on-going. |
| Dues: | $25 a month. There is a one-time music fee as well. |

| Rehearsals: | Location: Petaluma Current location is 1st Presbyterian Church of Petaluma 939 B Street Sundays from 1 - 3pm |
