History:

Formed in 1947 as part of the PTA Mothersingers, Melody Choral Singers (MCS) has for decades been a group for women to join each other in song and comaraderie.  Through the years they have evolved from an informal to a performing group and joined the California Women's Chorus (CWC) in its mission to provide music scholarships.  Locally, MCS performs for private events and convalescent homes and presents two public concerts:  one during the winter holiday season and one in May. Annually, MCS attends the CWC convention, performing a mass concert with other member choruses to hear our scholarship winners perform and present them with their scholarships.
