Description: The Silicon Valley Boychoir is a multi-tiered chorus for boys ages 7-15 rehearsing in downtown Palo Alto.

Year Estab: 2010
Mission: To train boys in the choral art with an emphasis on music literacy and the highest artistic standards. Boys will learn life-long skills and go forth into the world as skilled tenors and basses and leaders in their future choirs.
Emphasis: With a strong emphasis on both performance and music literacy (learning to sight-read and understand music theory), SVB performs a wide variety of music for the community including classical, contemporary, folksongs and jazz-influenced pieces.
Size: Currently 65
Concerts/Year: Twice a year: December and June
Skills Required : None for the entry level group
Auditions: Held by appointment: August, January, and May
Dues: Semester tuition (2010-11) $800-$950
Rehearsals: Once a week rehearsals combined with flexible musicianship classes in small groups.
